Qualus is seeking a Lead Relay Settings Engineer to design, specify and coordinate protective relay settings for major utility substations. The role requires 7+ years of protection and control experience and a strong background in power systems.

You will work with ASPEN and CAPE tools, present solutions to clients, and collaborate across Qualus engineering teams. This remote-ready senior position offers a competitive salary range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with power systems focus.
• 7+ years of protection, control engineering and relay settings experience.
• Experience with ASPEN and CAPE.
• Professional engineering registration or plan to obtain it.
• Strong analytical and computer skills.
• Excellent communication with a wide range of teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, specification, setting calculation and coordination of protective relaying and relay control schemes.
• Modeling, short circuit and overstressed breaker studies and protective relaying recommendations for interconnections.
• Ensure relay settings activities align with policies and client design standards.
• Present technical solutions to customers and respond to questions in real time.
• Collaborate with Qualus teams to implement technical solutions supporting Engineering objectives.
