Job summary

Valiant Residential in Texas is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee property upkeep, perform repairs in resident units, and assist in preparing homes for rent. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and preventive maintenance, supervising subcontractors and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a related trade.
• English communication skills; Spanish a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certification (EPA 608).
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and insurance.
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations and work weekends as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests within 24 hours.
• Replace filters and clean HVAC vents.
• Maintain sprinkler systems and perform HVAC repairs.
• Perform light electrical and plumbing work.
• Replace broken glass, tiles, fixtures, appliances, bulbs.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces as needed.
• Carpentry tasks such as doors and shelving.
• Assist in custodial and grounds maintenance.
• Oversee subcontractors and coordinate work orders.
• Assist in apartment make-ready and move-in/move-out inspections.
• Inspect units and common areas for repairs and safety.
