Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee property maintenance, perform repairs in resident apartments, and assist in preparing units for rent (make-ready). The role involves supervising subcontractors, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining records across multiple sites in the San Antonio area.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of apartment maintenance experience, English proficiency, and tools for on-site maintenance. EPA and technical certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years of full-time apartment maintenance or related trade experience.
• Must possess strong English verbal and written communication skills; Spanish bilingualism a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests from residents within 24 hours.
• Perform HVAC repairs and light electrical/plumbing work as needed.
• Replace filters; maintain sprinkler systems; paint interiors/exteriors.
• Perform carpentry, drywall, and basic handyman tasks.
• Assist in make-ready tasks for vacant units and inspections.
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with vendors.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in common areas; ensure records and inventories are up to date.
• Occasionally travel between properties and work some weekends.
