Job summary

Valiant Residential, a leader in property management, is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee property maintenance and make-ready apartments under the Community Manager. The role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and preventive maintenance, with on-site supervision of subcontractors and coordination for inspections.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of maintenance experience, EPA certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel within the metro area,

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a trade with basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills; bilingual Spanish a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certification (EPA) is required.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and auto insurance.
• Ability to travel within major metro areas and work some weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Technical Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests from residents within 24 hours.
• Assist in distributing flyers and materials.
• Replace filters and clean HVAC vents; maintain sprinkler systems.
• Perform HVAC, light electrical, light plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks.
• Assist custodial work in common areas and supervise vendors.
• Prepare units for resident occupancy (make-ready).
• Inspect units, buildings, and common areas; perform repairs as needed.
• Assist with move-in/move-out inspections and stand-by emergency coverage.
