Job summary

Valiant Residential in Pflugerville, TX is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee the property's daily maintenance under the Community Manager. You will perform repairs in resident apartments, assist in make-ready units for occupancy, and supervise upkeep tasks to ensure quality.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and preventive maintenance, plus strong communication with residents and vendors.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time apartment maintenance experience or equivalent.
• English communication skills required; Spanish is a plus.
• EPA refrigerant handling certification required.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and insurance.
• Willingness to travel within metro areas and occasional overnight stays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Address resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Replace filters and clean AC vents; maintain sprinkler systems.
• Perform HVAC repairs and light electrical/plumbing tasks.
• Paint, carpentry, and make-ready of apartments.
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with vendors.
• Assist in custodial work and site upkeep.
• Prepare properties for inspections and occupancy.
