Job summary

Valiant Residential in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee property upkeep, perform repairs in resident units, and assist in making-ready for new tenants. The role reports to the Community Manager and requires hands-on skills across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.

You will supervise subcontractors, maintain records, respond to service requests within 24 hours, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a trade including basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting and HVAC.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual Spanish a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests within 24 hours.
• Assist in making-ready units prior to resident occupancy.
• Replace filters and maintain HVAC systems.
• Perform light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks as needed.
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate maintenance work orders.
• Maintain stock, records, and safety compliance.
• Respond to on-call duties and standby rotations.
