Job summary

HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead top-tier transportation programs from Austin and other U.S. locations. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, advise clients on technical and regulatory matters, and drive program delivery across planning, design, procurement, and construction.

Responsibilities include risk management, budget oversight, and ensuring QA/QC across complex projects. Travel to multiple project sites is expected; the role sits within HDR's Transportation Leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in a related field and professional credentials are required.
• Minimum years of program management experience with senior-level responsibilities.
• Experience delivering large infrastructure programs with complex governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects.
• Direct program execution across planning, design, procurement, and delivery.
• Manage risks, budgets, schedules, and QA/QC to meet client expectations.
• Promote team alignment and effective client communications.
