Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) team is seeking engineers to develop, test, and implement control solutions for power systems, using PLCs, HMIs, and protection relays. Hybrid role with approximately 35% on-site work, based in New Jersey region.

The position targets candidates with power distribution controls experience and relevant degrees, with a Regular Driver requirement and potential for a PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with power distribution controls experience.
• Current, unrestricted driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record as per Eaton policy.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs and HMIs for Power Transfer applications.
• Follow customer specifications and internal specs for project implementation.
• Select components and create bill of materials.
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
• Prepare customer submittals, Sequence of Operation, and test procedures.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
• Troubleshoot systems that are not functioning properly.
