Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) team seeks an engineer to lead the development, testing, and implementation of power systems control solutions using PLCs, HMIs, relays, and data concentrators. It is a hybrid role with about 35% on-site work.

You will work on PLC/HMI software for power transfer applications, follow customer specifications, prepare BOMs, and support design reviews and field start-ups.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Engineering with relevant power distribution controls experience.
PE License is preferred.
10+ years of power distribution controls experience (for senior level).

Responsibilities

Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC/HMI software for power transfer applications.
Follow customer specifications and internal specs for project implementation.
Select components and create bill of materials.
Provide sketches, mark-ups, and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
Prepare customer submittals, Sequence of Operation, and test procedures.
Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
Troubleshoot systems that are not functioning properly.
