Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) team seeks engineers to develop, test, and implement power systems control solutions using PLCs, HMIs, and protection relays. The role is hybrid, with about 35% on-site work and a competitive salary range.

The incumbent will design, test, and deploy control software for complex power transfer configurations, select components, and support field start-ups while meeting strict safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of power distribution controls experience, or Master’s degree with at least 5 years, or 10+ years of power distribution controls experience.
• Regular Driver status with valid license and clean MVR, per Eaton policy.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC/HMI software for Power Transfer applications (Main-Tie-Main, Main-Gen, etc.).
• Follow customer and internal specifications for project implementation.
• Select components and generate bill of materials.
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
• Prepare SOO, test procedures, and customer submittals.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as needed.
• Troubleshoot systems to resolve malfunctions.
