Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) team seeks engineers to develop, test, and implement control solutions for power systems using PLCs, HMIs, and protection relays. The role blends design, testing, and field support with a hybrid work arrangement in the United States.

Candidates should have a strong background in power distribution controls, relevant degrees, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum 7 years of power distribution controls experience.
Master’s degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of power distribution controls experience.
Or a minimum 10 years of power distribution controls experience.
This role requires a current, unrestricted driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs and HMIs for Power Transfer applications.
Follow customer and internal specifications for project implementation.
Select components and create bill of materials.
Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
Prepare customer submittals, SOO, and test procedures.
Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
Troubleshoot systems that are not functioning properly.
