Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) team is seeking an engineer to develop, test, and implement power systems control solutions using PLCs, HMIs, and relays. The role involves hybrid work with about 35% on site in Manassas, VA, focusing on power transfer applications and system integration.

Responsibilities include software deployment for PLC/HMI, following specifications, BOM creation, and directing electrical designers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with corresponding power distribution controls experience.
• Current, unrestricted driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• PE license preferred for enhanced credentials.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs and HMIs for Power Transfer applications.
• Follow customer and internal specifications for project implementation.
• Select components and prepare bill of materials.
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
• Prepare SOO, test procedures, and customer submittals.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups.
• Troubleshoot systems not functioning properly.
