Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging seeks a manufacturing supervisor to direct all aspects of plant operations on the shift. You will oversee hourly staff, ensure safety, quality and productivity, and optimize resources across work centers. You will maintain production records and align with CGMP/SOP standards.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, coaching, and communicating how to meet customer expectations. You will work with engineering, scheduling, and QA to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree.
• Minimum of three years of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of the plastics industry; statistics, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing.
• Integrated knowledge of production planning, scheduling, preventative maintenance, and basic accounting principles.
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Direct the manufacturing and material handling activities for the plant during the shift.
• Oversee training and supervision of hourly employees and candidates for hire, promotion, demotion, transfer, disciplinary actions and/or termination.
• Manage the plant work schedule to prevent idle time and optimize manpower, machinery and material.
• Maintain accuracy of production order information to drive business decisions.
• Provide leadership, resolve conflicts, and promote teamwork.
• Coach personnel to understand and excel in required positions.
• Communicate information across operations to ensure processes meet customer expectations (Engineering, Mold Shop, Scheduler, Shipping, Quality).
• Complete and maintain records documenting attendance and performance.
• Maintain operational documentation and labeling in CGMP/SOP compliance.
