Job summary

Amcor in North Carolina seeks an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to direct all shift manufacturing activities, oversee hourly staff, and optimize safety, quality and productivity across work centers. You will manage production schedules, maintain accurate reporting in the MII system, and coach team members to achieve performance goals.

The role requires a post-secondary degree and at least three years in manufacturing, with knowledge of plastics, Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Education: Post-secondary degree.
• Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience with technical and managerial expertise.
• Knowledge of plastics industry; statistics, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing.
• Integrated knowledge of production planning, scheduling, maintenance, and basic accounting.
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, SAP.

Responsibilities

• Directs plant manufacturing and material handling during shift.
• Manages shift work schedule to optimize manpower and equipment use.
• Maintains accuracy of production orders in MII system.
• Provides leadership and resolves conflicts to promote teamwork.
• Develops and coaches staff to meet job requirements.
• Communicates process information across Engineering, Mold Shop, Scheduler, Shipping, Quality.
• Maintains attendance and performance records.
• Ensures documentation and labeling comply with CGMPs and SOPs.
