Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a skilled pipefitter to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems and related equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, and production processes. The role involves cutting, threading, bending, welding, and testing piping networks while observing safety and project rules.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with previous field experience.
• Ability to plan work and select proper tools.
• Ability to visualize objects in 3D from plans/drawings.
• Apply shop mathematics to solve problems.
• Make decisions based on measurable criteria.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe and related materials per job specs.
• Inspects worksite for obstructions and plan installation sequence.
• Cuts, threads, bends, and assembles pipes using hand and power tools.
• Mounts hangers/brackets to support piping; secures pipes to structures.
• Installs/repa irs refrigeration and HVAC piping and controls; tests for leaks.
• Welds pipe supports to structural steel and assists in lifting/positioning.
• Adheres to safety rules and performs other duties as required.
