Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled pipefitter to oversee crew activities, read isometric drawings, and ensure safe, timely installation of piping systems. The role includes selecting pipes, installing supports, and testing systems for leaks on complex facilities.

The candidate will work with various joints, welding, and fabrication tasks, while adhering to strict safety protocols and production schedules in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with experience in piping.
• Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
• Ability to plan own work and delegate tasks to crew members to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe type and size and related equipment per job specs.
• Inspects worksite for obstructions and plans sequence to avoid conflicts.
• Cuts, threads, bends, and installs pipe with appropriate tools.
• Mounts pipe hangers and supports on walls/ceiling.
• Assembles and installs metal/nonmetal piping and fittings with varied joints.
• Welds pipe supports to structural members and tests for leaks.
