Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks an experienced pipefitter to oversee crew activities, read isometric drawings, and install piping systems across steam, heating, cooling, and process environments. You will ensure safe, efficient work, plan sequences to avoid obstructions, and validate system integrity through testing.

The role requires ability to read drawings, perform shop math, and use common pipefitting tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior piping field experience preferred.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics and ability to read plans/drawings.
• Ability to plan work and delegate tasks to crew members for safe, efficient completion.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe type and size and related materials per job specs.
• Inspects worksite for obstructions and plans installation sequence.
• Cuts, threads, bends, and installs pipes and fittings with appropriate joints.
• Mounts hangers/brackets; installs and maintains piping systems and related equipment.
• Tests piping systems for leaks and verifies repairs; acceptable safety practices maintained.
