Job summary

Amazon Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead a small-format site, ensuring safety, quality, and a superior customer experience. You will supervise pharmacists and technicians, manage daily operations, and drive compliance with state and federal laws.

The role emphasizes people development, performance coaching, and Lean initiatives to improve efficiency and patient outcomes. You will oversee dispensing, verify orders, and maintain licensure while partnering with legal and regulatory

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist with good standing in domicile state.
• Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations surrounding pharmacy practices and patient safety.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, support scope of requirements and prioritize.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, quality, performance and customer experience of site operations.
• Manage daily operations to meet same-day CPT delivery times with partners and co-located facilities.
• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness; propose therapy changes to prescriber as needed.
• Set clear expectations for staff; measure performance and provide feedback.
• Educate staff on policies, reporting guidelines and best practices.
• Drive quality initiatives, process changes and Lean initiatives to exceed operating plan.
• Manage workflow, escalations and delegation with the Sr Pharmacy Operations Manager.
• Stay compliant with local, state and federal pharmacy laws affecting practice and patient safety.
• Coordinate with corporate legal to maintain licensure with state boards; monitor requirements.
• Align policies with accrediting bodies (BOP, VIPPS, URAC, DEA, FDA, USP).
• Support site growth and workforce planning with capacity planning and facilities teams.
• Develop talent and lead training, development and succession planning across all levels.
• Implement changes and new processes to better serve customers and reduce cost to serve.
• Maintain patient profiles in PharmacyOS database with current/past medical history and medication records.
• Other duties as assigned.
