Job summary

Amazon Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to oversee a small-format site, ensuring safety, quality and customer experience while leading a team of technicians and pharmacists. You will manage operations, verify prescriptions, and maintain licensure across states, with a focus on patient safety and service excellence.

The role requires a Pharmacist license, strong Lean/process improvements experience, and flexibility to work a varied schedule.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in all states requiring Non-resident PIC
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques
• Strong in oral and written communication, problem-solving and data interpretation
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Experience in pharmacy operations and patient safety
• 1 year Staff Pharmacist experience within Amazon Pharmacy (if currently an Amazon employee)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall safety, quality, performance and customer experience of the operations
• Manage daily operations within the site, meet CPT times for same day deliveries
• Evaluate physician medication orders for drug appropriateness and dosage, and discuss therapy changes with prescribers
• Set and clarify requirements for employees; measure performance and provide feedback
• Educate staff on policies and guidelines related to quality practices
• Drive Lean initiatives to meet and exceed the operating plan
• Manage workflow and delegations in partnership with the Sr Pharmacy Operations Manager
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal pharmacy laws and licensure requirements
• Coordinate with corporate legal to maintain licensure and stay aligned with accrediting bodies
• Develop talent, leadership, and succession planning across the workforce
• Implement changes to better serve customers and reduce cost to serve
• Maintain patient profiles in PharmacyOS/Pharmacy Lite with current and past medical history
• Other duties as assigned
