Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Lead Tax Processor and Subject Matter Expert (Level X5) to act as the primary technical resource for the Payroll Tax Operations team. You will own complex escalations, govern SOPs, and coach team members to build capacity.

You will also help manage WIP and aging reports, resolve severe payroll tax notices, and ensure audit trails across federal and state filings while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and mentoring teams on complex tax issues.
• Proven ability to resolve high-stakes internal/external escalations.
• Deep knowledge of US payroll tax across multiple states and localities (e.g., PFML, SDI).
• Strong written skills to author and review SOPs and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical expert for TP1, TP2, TP3 staff.
• Author, review, and approve SOPs and KB articles.
