Job summary

Washington University Medical Campus is seeking a Patient Billing/Services Representative III for the Diabetes Center in Saint Louis, MO. The role leads the front desk/scheduling team, coordinates office functions, and ensures accurate billing and patient advocacy.

The position requires a high school diploma, BLS within one month, and at least four years in billing or medical office settings. You will train staff, manage schedules, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
• Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
• Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
• Billing Systems And Third-Party Claims And/Or Medical Office Setting, Related Customer Service (4 Years)

Responsibilities

• Monitors the performance of the staff areas to ensure quality care and compliance with practice standards.
• Monitors and observes to ensure appointments are scheduled appropriately in accordance with departmental procedures.
• Triage patient phone calls, tasks and e-mails as needed.
• Assist in management of providers’ schedules, scheduling templates and master schedules.
• Coordinate training and staff development for new procedures and staff members.
