Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a leader for Patient Billing/Services Representatives who will plan, direct, and coordinate front desk and scheduling activities.

The role interfaces with patients, staff, healthcare professionals, and the public, ensuring advocacy for patients' needs and smooth clinic operations. Primary duties include supervising staff, coordinating training, triaging communications, and managing schedules and documentation in line with HIPAA and practice

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
• Billing systems and third-party claims experience in a medical office setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Patient Billing/Services Representatives.
• Plan, organize, and direct front desk/scheduling activities.
• Coordinate office functions and provide trainer support for new procedures.
• Triage patient calls, emails, and tasks with proper HIPAA handling.
• Monitor staff performance and ensure compliance with standards.
• Prepare custom reports and participate in quality improvement activities.
