Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Lead Test Engineer to lead testing, commissioning, validation, and operational integration of protection and control systems across transmission, distribution, and generation substations. You will mentor engineers, coordinate field crews, and ensure safety and compliance with standards and POWERX philosophy.

This role covers greenfield and brownfield projects including relay protection, SCADA integration, and IEC 61850 networks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in high-voltage protection & control testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced protection & control testing, commissioning, and validation across substations.
• Mentor Test Engineers and coordinate field execution with project teams and clients.
• Develop test, isolation, energization, and JHA plans; ensure testing aligns with utility standards.
• Maintain safety-first culture and perform live testing in energized environments up to 500kV.
• Document test results, redlines, turnover packages, and client reports clearly and thoroughly.
