Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Lead Test Engineer to drive testing, commissioning, and validation of protection and control systems across substations up to 500 kV. You will mentor field engineers, develop test plans, and ensure compliance with IEEE/NETA standards while coordinating with clients and operations teams.

With 3+ years in HV protection and control testing, you will lead installations, troubleshoot relay logic, SCADA integration, and IEC 61850 networks, delivering complete system

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of HV protection testing and commissioning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with relay platforms (SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse).
• Strong leadership, communication, and safety focus for field teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation of protection & control systems.
• Develop test plans, isolation plans, energization plans, and JHAs.
• Mentor Test Engineers and coordinate field execution with PM, engineering, and operations clients.
• Ensure compliance with NETA practices, IEEE guidance, and client-specific requirements.
• Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, test records, and turnover packages.
