Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Field Services Technician for multi-site projects in Maine, New York, North Carolina, and Florida. The role involves supervising field crews, performing protective relay testing, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance on energy facilities.

You will use tools like Omicron CMC 256/356 and Doble F6150 to test relays and protection schemes, while coordinating with engineers and subcontractors to deliver quality results.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical testing industry, including medium/high voltage circuit breakers, transformers, and substation protection.
• Demonstrated expertise on transmission/generation/distribution relays (SEL, Basler, Beckwith, GE)and protective schemes.
• Advanced skills with relay calibration and testing using specified test sets/devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for complex projects with technical guidance and on-site execution.
• Troubleshoot challenges, uphold safety standards, and escalate issues as needed.
• Coordinate with engineers, scientists, and subcontractors for efficient task delivery.
• Mentor technicians and manage site logistics; communicate progress to leadership.
• Test and commission protection and control systems on high voltage substations.
