Job summary

WSP is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization Lead P&C Field Services Technician to support projects across Maine, New York, North Carolina, and Florida. You will lead field teams, perform protection and control testing on HV substations, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in fast-paced environments.

Role requires 11+ years in electrical testing, experience with relays and protective schemes, and ability to travel up to 80%. A BS in Electrical Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 11 years in electrical testing, including HV equipment like breakers and transformers.
• Demonstrated expertise with transmission, generation, or distribution relays and protective schemes.
• Advanced testing skills for protective relays, calibration, and field logs.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for complex projects, providing technical guidance and hands-on execution.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure compliant field tasks.
• Mentor technicians, manage site logistics, and communicate progress to leadership.
• Perform testing and commissioning of protection and control systems on HV substations.
