Job summary

WSP is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Field Services Technician to support projects across Maine, New York, North Carolina, and Florida. You will lead field teams in testing and commissioning high voltage protection and control systems, while coordinating with engineers and clients to assure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 11+ years in electrical testing, including HV equipment and substation testing.
• Expertise with transmission, generation or distribution relays and protective schemes.
• Advanced relay testing with Omicron and Doble equipment.
• Familiar with IEEE, NETA, NFPA standards and field testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for complex projects with technical guidance and oversight.
• Troubleshoot field challenges, ensure safety and quality, escalate issues as needed.
• Coordinate with engineers, scientists, and subcontractors to deliver tasks on time.
• Mentor technicians, manage site logistics, and communicate progress to leadership.
• Lead health and safety protocol implementation and ensure compliance across crews.
• Maintain data collection, reporting, and inventory control for projects.
