Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optical Manager to lead our in-house Optical team and coach the store's Opticians. You’ll blend coaching with hands-on customer consultations to ensure outstanding eyewear experiences.

The ideal candidate is a licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states) with 2+ years in a leadership role, passionate about eyewear, and capable of fostering a supportive, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• A licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license (or an ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states) with 2+ years in a management role.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with demonstrated on-floor leadership.
• Clear communicator who can explain technical terms to customers.
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries.
• Detail-oriented, organized, with strong prioritization in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Directly lead and coach the store's Opticians and consult customers as needed.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with high accuracy.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terminology and product options to customers.
• Oversee store operations, inventory, and the Optician Apprentice Program.
• Report to Store Leader and collaborate to meet staffing needs.
