Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a lead design engineer specializing in nuclear facility structures. The role directs a team of structural engineers, interfaces with other disciplines, and collaborates directly with clients on various projects.

The position requires leading design and analysis of steel frames, concrete members, equipment, and foundations, with potential travel for site reviews. Hybrid work includes in-office presence 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with structural analysis software (STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a structural engineering team on nuclear facility design and analysis projects.
• Guide interface with other disciplines and interact with clients.
• Prepare, review, and provide guidance for design calculations and drawings.
• Travel to client/vendor offices and plant sites for reviews and coordination (hybrid schedule).
