Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive Company, seeks a Sr. Mobile Diesel & Trailer Mechanic to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field setting.

You will diagnose complex issues, triage repairs, and serve as on-site lead on jobsites, while complying with safety and DOT regulations. Responsibilities include maintaining vehicles and equipment, managing parts, and documenting findings on RO using TRAIT app plus iOS devices.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years related field experience, or 5 years related field experience.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA; DOT medical card requirements; valid driver’s license.
• ASE certifications within 18 months preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and repairs on mobile/field vehicles.
• Repair trailer equipment systems including brakes, air lines, engines, and liftgates.
• Diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, engine electronics and transmissions.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose defects; road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and documentation on RO via iOS device.
