Cox Fleet is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel & Trailer Mechanic to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics in a mobile/field setting.

You will lead on-site repairs for light to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, manage parts, and document work through TRAIT on an iOS device. The role requires a HS diploma or GED with 5 years of related experience, or equivalent experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Formación

• HS Diploma or GED with 5 years related experience, or alternative combinations with similar years of experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools for required duties.
• DOT/FMCSA certifications and compliance training preferred/required.
• Must pass a DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical when applicable.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work in a mobile/field environment and manage on-site repairs.

Responsabilidades

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on various vehicle types in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose defects using diagnostic tools and handheld devices.
• Document work performed and parts used on Repair Orders via TRAIT app.
• Work with customers to assess needs and provide clear repair estimates and communication.
