Job summary

The Cox Fleet team is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field environment. You’ll diagnose complex issues, manage parts on a company truck, and document work using our TRAIT app.

This role emphasizes safety, independence, and high-quality customer service. Expect to lead on-site diagnostics, coordinate with management for repair estimates, and maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• DOT inspections and PM on mobile/field vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/hydraulic/mechanical systems.
• Test drive and verify repairs.
• Maintain inventory and organize parts on service truck.
• Document work on RO/TRAIT app and related forms.
• Adhere to DOT/OSHA/EPA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/hydraulic/mechanical systems and related components.
• Road-test vehicles to confirm proper operation after service.
• Maintain parts inventory and service truck readiness; coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Document findings and parts used using the TRAIT app and RO forms.
