Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced mechanical diagnostics in a mobile/field setting.

You will lead on jobsites, triage complex repairs, and ensure adherence to company policies and safety metrics. The role requires ASE certifications within 18 months, a DOT medical card, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, with 3–7 years related experience.
• Must supply a set of hand tools required for duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
• Obtain ASE 608/609 certification within eighteen (18) months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• 21+ years old with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM on light/medium/heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/hydraulic/mechanical systems on trucks.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose issues.
• Manage parts inventory and document RO using TRAIT app.
• Comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety regulations.
