Cox Fleet is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs on light to heavy-duty fleet equipment in a mobile/field environment.

This lead technician role emphasizes diagnostics, safety compliance, customer communication, and independent scheduling, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience performing DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic skills for electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment used in field service.
• Ability to communicate with customers to assess needs and provide updates.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, inspections, and follow-up repairs on mobile/field vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Document work performed with RO in TRAIT app, including parts used and findings.
• Maintain service truck and comply with safety, DOT, EPA regulations.
• Coordinate with customers and management to obtain approvals and updates.
