Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and complex repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose, repair, and test systems on light to heavy-duty trucks, manage parts and documentation with TRAIT and iOS devices, and interact with clients to ensure satisfaction.

Applicant should have 5+ years in the field, tool readiness, and DOT/FMCSA compliance. Company offers extensive benefits and growth within a nationwide service network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required with 3–5 years in related field or equivalent combination
• Experience with refrigerated equipment preferred
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties
• DOT/FMCSA regulations experience and DOT physical in place or able to obtain

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in mobile/field environment
• Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems and engines (gas/diesel)
• Test and road-test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs
• Maintain service truck and inventory; document work orders and RO photos on TRAIT
• Communicate with clients to assess needs and obtain approvals for estimates
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation accurately and on time
• Adhere to safety policies and company procedures
