Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs on light, medium, and heavy‑duty fleets in a mobile/field setting.

You will triage complex diagnostics, lead jobsites, and coordinate with clients and internal teams. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of diesel experience, ASE certifications preferred, and the ability to manage tools, parts, and documentation while complying with DOT and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3–7 years in a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA training or certification preferred.
• DOT physical and drug screening per regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on mobile/field vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and HVAC systems.
• Inspect and test equipment using diagnostic tools; road test to verify repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and document RO details via iOS TRAIT app.
• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT policies.
