Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and advanced diagnostics on a mobile/field fleet. You will handle electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, and act as a lead on site with strong customer communication.

Responsibilities include documenting work via iOS devices, managing truck service tools, and coordinating with management for repairs and approvals. A valid DOT background and 21+ years old are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own a set of hand tools necessary for duties.
• DOT/FMCSA training or certifications preferred.
• Complete required training and DOT background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and hydraulic systems.
• Document work on Repair Orders using company iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck tools; obtain approvals for repairs as needed.
• Communicate with management and clients to discuss RO findings and estimates.
