Cox Fleet is seeking a Lead Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field environment.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, the ability to mentor other technicians, and frequent interaction with customers. ASE certifications are expected within 18 months, and the position emphasizes safety, documentation, and meeting standard repair times.

Formación

• HS diploma or GED with 7 years' experience; alternative combos with certs considered.
• ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months; ASE 608/609 within 18 months; ASE C1 within 18 months.
• DOT background check and medical card eligibility as per FMCSA requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile/field vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Mentor junior technicians and support on best practices to meet standard repair times.
• Document work using RO in TRAIT app and manage parts on service truck.
