Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose and service electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems on light to heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Independence and strong multitasking are essential to manage RO documentation and customer communications. The role requires DOT regulatory compliance, tool proficiency, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 yrs related field experience or 5 yrs alternative.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment is preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge or certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on various vehicle classes in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems.
• Document findings, parts used, and RO details via iOS devices and TRAIT app.
• Maintain and operate company service truck and ensure safety checks and pre/post trips.
