Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Lead Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs on light to heavy trucks in a mobile/field environment. You will mentor technicians, manage parts on a service truck, and ensure compliance with DOT and safety regulations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing diverse systems, maintaining documentation via TRAIT, and coordinating with management to optimize on-site performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with several years of related experience.
• ASE certifications to be obtained within 18 months as listed.
• Must have valid driver's license and ability to pass DOT medical and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on mobile vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, fuel, cooling and engine systems.
• Document findings and upload to TRAIT app.
• Inspect and road-test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and schedule on site.
• Collaborate with MTM and mentor junior technicians.
• Ensure safety policies and DOT regulations are followed.
