Job summary

Cox Automotive seeks an experienced Lead Mobile Diesel Tech to perform preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs on light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile environment. The role requires DOT compliance, ASE certifications within 18 months, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical and mechanical systems, managing parts on a company vehicle, and coordinating with management for approvals and RO documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5–7+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASE certifications (T8 PMI, 608/609, C1) required within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and repairs in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine and transmission systems on trucks.
• Inspect and road test vehicles to verify proper operation and safety.
