Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Lead Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and complex repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems while mentoring junior technicians and coordinating with the Mobile Technician Manager.

The role emphasizes independent scheduling, strong communication with customers, and adherence to safety standards across DOT and EPA regulations.

Qualifications

• DOT inspections experience and maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to perform scheduled PMs and heavy diagnostics.
• Strong communication with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, repair and test electrical, cooling, engine and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain and manage parts inventory and service truck readiness.
