Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, routine maintenance, and complex repairs on a mobile/field setup. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems, triage advanced issues, and document findings using TRAIT on an iOS device.

You must maintain a service truck, follow safety protocols, and communicate effectively with clients to meet their needs and timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5 years’ related field experience, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools required.
• OEM training and certifications are preferred.
• Must pass DOT-regulated pre-employment checks and DOT medical card requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in a mobile environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems.
• Document RO findings and parts used in the TRAIT app on an iOS device.
• Maintain service truck, perform safety checks, and complete pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Interact with clients to assess needs and provide timely solutions.
