Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to join our field service team. The technician will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile environment, diagnosing complex systems and coordinating with customers and management on repairs.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or GED with 3+ years of related experience, including refrigerated equipment experience, and be able to pass DOT screening and a DOT physical.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3+ years in a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• OEM training and certifications are preferred.
• Pre-employment DOT background screen and DOT physical required; valid DOT medical card may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, transmission, and other systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions; road test vehicles.
• Manage parts inventory for service truck and document RO using mobile device.
• Complete all DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion.
• Operate safely following OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
• Communicate with clients and management to obtain approvals and discuss findings.
