Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to support on-site maintenance and mobile repairs nationwide. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics on light to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with 3–5 years in related field, ASE certifications preferred, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced field environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field (or 5 years' experience).
• Experience with refrigerated equipment is preferred.
• OEM training and various ASE certifications are advantageous.
• DOT background screening and valid DOT medical card requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field enviroment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Test, road test, and document findings on RO using company iOS devices and TRAIT app.
• Maintain and stock service truck inventory and obtain parts from vendors as needed.
• Ensure safety compliance and effective communication with clients and management.
