Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a mobile/field setting.

You will diagnose complex issues, manage parts, and document findings with the TRAIT app while maintaining high safety standards. Role requires strong knowledge of diesel systems, ability to work independently, and willingness to travel extensively across the region.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (5+ years related field or 7+ years alternative).
• Ability to perform under DOT/FMCSA regulations and pass DOT physical/background checks.
• Knowledge of DOT Inspections, PM, and heavy equipment maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, repair, and test electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on trucks.
• Maintain and manage parts inventory; document work and photos via TRAIT app; ensure compliance with safety policies.
