Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Sr Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance for a mobile fleet. You will diagnose, repair and service heavy-duty trucks in the field, communicating clearly with customers and coordinating repairs to minimize downtime.

The role emphasizes safety compliance, independent scheduling, and accurate documentation using company tools on an iOS device.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with relevant field experience (5+ years) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• ASE certifications are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine and hydraulic systems on trucks.
• Document all work on RO via iOS and TRAIT app; upload photos and notes.
• Maintain vehicle and inventory on the service truck; ensure safety checks and pre/post trips.
