Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs on a mobile fleet nationwide. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, lead on jobsites, and ensure safety and compliance with DOT/FMSCA guidelines.

You must maintain a high level of productivity, manage parts and schedule, and communicate effectively with clients and management. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' related experience (or equivalent).
• DOT/FMCSA compliance and DOT medical card requirements.
• ASE T8 and ASE 608/609 certifications required or obtained within 18 months.
• Preferred ASE T2/T3/T4 and HVAC/engine certifications.
• Ability to supply a set of hand tools and perform required duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on light‑heavy duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Document work, upload RO photos, and manage parts using TRAIT app on an iOS device.
