Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role requires diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems, and leads on-site execution for customer satisfaction.

The position emphasizes independent work on a daily schedule, parts sourcing, safety compliance, and accurate documentation using company tools and iOS devices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required;3+ years in related field preferred.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment is a plus.
• ASE certifications or equivalent training are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on various vehicle classes in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems using test instruments.
• Maintain service truck, manage parts and document work on RO via mobile device.
• Communicate with customers and team to ensure accurate estimates and timely approvals.
