Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts Groton is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform and interpret complex tests across chemistry, hematology and blood banking areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology required.
• ASCP certification as MT preferred.
• Three years of related experience required.
• Must qualify as a General Supervisor under CLIA regulations for high-complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Follows protocols to perform and interpret tests in assigned area.
• Correlates test results with patient history and diagnosis.
• Troubleshoots testing process discrepancies and maintains equipment.
• Instructs staff in setup and operation of new equipment and procedures.
• Maintains accurate records using computer systems.
